Leota M. Bethel, 87, of Dillonvale passed away Friday, May 8, 2026, at Sienna Hills Nursing Center.  She was born on June 18, 1938, in Yorkville, Ohio, the daughter of the late Mike and Mabel (Schrader) Swabado.

Leota was a retired school bus driver for the Buckeye Local School District and was Protestant by faith.  Known for her gentle and quiet personality, Leota was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John "Jack" Bethel, and son, Charles William Bethel.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, John (Yvonne) Bethel, and Marge (Randy) Michalo, grandchildren, Randy Michalo and Jessica Bethel, great-grandson, Chase Michalo.

Private Graveside Services will be held at Short Creek Cemetery, in Emerson.  Wilson Funeral Home, 154 2nd St. Dillonvale, Ohio 43917, is assisting the family.
