Lester P. Long Lester P. "Fritz" Long, 87, of N. Zane Hwy., Martins Ferry, OH died Sat., Nov. 2, 2002 at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry. He was born Feb. 18, 1915 in Martins Ferry a son of the late George C. and Ida Mae Burch Long. He is retired from the former Silver & Green Billiard Parlor of Martins Ferry, was a member of the D.A.V. Post #117 of Bellaire, and a veteran of the U.S. Army WWII. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Margaret Dean. Surviving are his wife Goldie Brown Long, a son William Altop of Bridgeport, a daughter Margaret Gleaves and her husband Sean of Martins Ferry, two grandchildren, a niece and a nephew. Friends will be received at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH, Tues., Nov. 5, 2002, 11AM until time of services at 1:00 PM with Rev. Van Fisher officiating. Burial follows in Weeks Cemetery, Bridgeport with full military graveside honors by the Belmont Co. Council of the V.F.W.
