Lewis Palmer, Sr. Lewis Palmer, Sr., 81, of Bright St., Maynard, OH died Thur., Jan. 10, 2002 at Wheeling Hospital, Wheeling. He was born May 15, 1920 in Chester, WV a son of the late Nicklos and Theresa Leto Palmer. He was retired from the Martins Ferry plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel, a member of American Legion Post #666 of Maynard, Bridgeport Eagles #995, Italian-American Club of Martins Ferry, Saints Club of St. Clairsville, and was a veteran of the U.S. Army WWII. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Donley Palmer, four brothers Lonnie, Albert, James, and Anthony Palmer, and two sisters Iris Ann Palmer and Mary Cavallaro, and a great grandson Grant Hunker. Surviving are his first wife Angela Prinzivalli Palmer, his second wife Alice Hess Palmer, three sons Lewis Palmer, Jr. of Cape Coral, FL, Michael Palmer and his wife Linda of Triadelphia, and John Palmer of S. America, two daughters Terry August of Dayton, NV and Aletia Bennett of Bridgeport, two step-daughters Sandra Junkins of Mt. Echo, WV and Charlotte Berisford of Wheeling, two brothers John Palmer of Martins Ferry and Dominic Palmer of Bridgeport, two sisters Rose Palmer of Martins Ferry and Jane Colelli of Mt. Vernon, thirteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Friends will be received Sat. 10:00 AM until time of services at 3:00 PM at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH with Fr. Thomas Magary officiating. Burial follows in Parkview Memorial Gardens, Wheeling.
