Obituary

Lois "Biggy" Mae (Ashton) Nagy, 82, of Colerain Pike, Martins Ferry, Ohio, passed away on Monday, February 11, 2008 in East Ohio Regional Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born November 16, 1925 in Martins Ferry, a daughter of the late Lester and Olga Ashton. She retired from East Ohio Regional Hospital and Ohio Valley Medical Center and was a longtime member of the Colerain Senior Center. Biggy enjoyed being around her family and friends. No family gathering was complete without her famous spaghetti-n-meatballs, cabbage rolls and her salad with secret dressing. Biggy was involved in everyone's lives, from her children to her great-grandchildren. Anyone that visited Lois's house knew her love for collecting mice and pixies. In addition to her parents, Biggy was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Nagy in 1999; her son, Dennis J. Nagy in 2001; daughter-in-law, Barb Nagy in 2004; a sister, Betty Sabo in 2008; and several other siblings. Surviving are four children, Edward "Butch" (Janet) Nagy of Monravia, Calif., Joyce (Tim) Ault of Fairpoint, Ohio, Daniel (late, Barb) Nagy of Burgoon, Ohio, Patti (Leo) Kovachic of Portage Lakes, Ohio and the late, Dennis (Sherry) Nagy of Martins Ferry, Ohio; grandchildren, Tommy, Greg, Scott, Terri, Erin and Ryan Nagy, Gary and Dean Ault, Jenny Morgan and Leah Kovachic; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sister, Mary Jo Tate of Spelter, W.Va.; her special friend, Marie Gibbons; and the most wonderful and caring neighbors, Richard and Joanie Radosvic. Cremation has taken place with Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth Street, Martins Ferry, and a private family memorial is planned for a future date. P.S. At the "Pearly Gates", Biggy is requesting a Beam and Pepsi, a Camel Non-Filter and some buttered bread with orange marmalade. We love & miss you, Biggy!
