LOIS JEAN SAFFELL BUGAY Lois Jean Saffell Bugay, 85, of Flushing, Ohio, died Friday, September 18, 2015 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born August 29, 1930 in Belmont, Ohio, daughter of the late Clarence W. Saffell, Sr. and Alice D. Morgan Saffell. Lois graduated from Belmont High School in 1948, attended business college in Columbus, Ohio, and was a Methodist by faith. She was employed by Morristown Bank, Capital National Bank and White Motor Company in Cleveland, Ohio. Upon returning to Belmont County, she married John Bugay June 19, 1976 and thoroughly enjoyed returning to a farmer's life. She loved raising a garden, was an excellent cook and baker, and enjoyed helping to run the dairy cattle operations. Her greatest joy was caring for her family and their home. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John; mother-in-law, Anna Bugay; brothers, Clarence, Jr. "Doc" Saffell and John Saffell; sister, Virginia VanDyne, niece, Lori Wines; and several other family members. Lois is survived by her sons, John R. (Joan) Bugay of Cambridge, Ohio, David A. (Yvette) Bugay of Flushing, Ohio; grandchildren, Joseph, Christy (John), Jonathan (Jessica), Joshua; great-grandchildren, Conrad, Justin, Elana, Jayne, Gracie; sister, Carolyn Fraley of Johnstown, Ohio; and several nieces, nephews, great and great-great- nieces and nephews, cousins, and other family members. Family and friends are welcome to visit, Monday from 3 to 8 p.m., Kelly Kemp Braido Patron Funeral Homes & Crematory, 322 N. Main Street, Bethesda, Ohio, where the service for Lois will be conducted, Tuesday 11 a.m. Chaplin Ted Boggs officiating. Interment will follow at Union Cemetery in Morristown, Ohio. The family wishes to express a special thank you to Lois' loving and caring caregiver, her granddaughter, Jessica Bugay for her dedication.
