Lois E. (Rothermund) Bowers, 75, of S. Third St., Martins Ferry, OH died Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2008 at home. She was born Apr. 7, 1933 in Martins Ferry a daughter of the late Elmer and Freda V. (Gosney) Rothermund. She was retired from the Wheeling Island Race Track, Wheeling, WV. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother James Rothermund, and a sister Nelda Milan. Surviving are a son Rick Bowers and his wife Mecheal of Wheeling, two daughters Janie Reed and her husband Bill of Martins Ferry, and Holly Miller and her husband Linas of Wheeling, a brother Elmer Rothermund and his wife Jo of Columbus, seven grandchildren Billy, Jenny and Heather Reed, Houston, Mandy Jo, Jeffery and Brad Bowers, and three great grandchildren Megan, Billy and Chloe Reed. Friends will be received Monday 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH where services will be held Tuesday, August 19, 2008 at 11:00 am with Rev. Thomas N.
