Lois R. (Thomas) Ferguson, 84, of St. Clairsville, OH, formerly of Bridgeport, OH died Sat., October 8, 2005 at Wheeling Hospital, Wheeling, WV. She was born February 24, 1921 in Martins Ferry, OH a daughter of the late Walter R. and Helen (Fowler) Thomas. Lois was a Telephone Operator with the former Ohio Bell Telephone Co. and recently worked in the Dietary Dept. of the Belmont Co. Committee on Aging. She was a member of Kirkwood Presbyterian Church, Bridgeport and volunteered for the Belmont Co. Crippled Children and Adults. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son Richard T. Ferguson in 2001, two brothers Donald and Walter "Bud" Thomas, and a sister Patricia E. Thomas. Surviving are her husband Richard K. "Fergy" Ferguson, a daughter Rebecca S. Kinney of Bridgeport, and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Wed. 4-7 PM at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH. Friends will then be received Thur., October 13, 2005 from10 AM until time of services at 11:00 AM at the Kirkwood Presbyterian Church, Bridgeport, OH when Pastor David M. Demarest and Rev. Paul Merryman will officiate. Burial follows in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, OH.
