Louise "Griff" (Griffith) Jarvis, 84, of St. Clairsville, OH, died Monday, Oct. 25, 2010 at Wheeling Hospital, Wheeling, WV. She was born Mar. 30, 1926 in Martins Ferry, OH the daughter of Frank and Loretta (Cox) Griffith. She retired from the Family Services Upper Ohio Valley where she served as Vice-President. Louise was a Catholic by faith. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Lester R. "Jack" Jarvis, Jr. Surviving are her sons Brad Jarvis and his wife Maggie and Les Jarvis all of St. Clairsville, OH, four grandchildren Mark (Krista) Jarvis, Bill (Beth) Jarvis, Paul (Kami) Jarvis and Gwen (Nathan) Holstein, and eight great grandchildren. Family and friends will be received Thursday 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH where services will be held Friday, Oct. 29, 2010 at 10:30 am with Rev. Thomas N. Thomas officiating. Burial follows in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, OH. Condolences to the family may be made by signing the guest book at the top of this page.
