Obituary

McCracken, Lucas Ethan, 16 of Pleasant Grove, Adena, originally of Wheeling, W.Va., was tragically killed in a automobile accident, while returning from work on July 25, 2010. He was born in Wheeling on October 31, 1993, a son of Earl McCracken of Benwood and his mother Laura Cook and stepdad John Cook of Adena, also raised and loved by Cheryl Pelfrey. He attended Buckeye Local High School. He was the class president and an honor roll student. He was a member of The Lord's House Church in Colerain and was employed by Home City Ice. Lucas loved family, his dirt bike, computers, campfires, the China Buffet, music and most of all he loved to laugh. He was lovable, funny, intelligent, kind and a beautiful gift to all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother Joan Carleton D'Cagna. In addition to his parents, he is survived by brothers: Earl Anthony McCracken and his wife Nichole of Triadelphia, WV., Bobby McCracken of Benwood, Johnny (Bub) Cook; sisters: Samantha and Sarah Cook, all of home; grandparents: Earl William and Portia McCracken of Wheeling and Robert D'Cagna and Linda Dunnel of Wheeling; stepbrother, Zachary Pelfrey and stepsister, Keisha Skidmore; grandparents, John and Judy Cook of Colerain; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Friends will be received Wednesday 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the Wilson Funeral Home, 154 Second Street, Dillonvale, Ohio, where services will be held Thursday July 29, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. with pastor John Cook, officiating.
