Obituary

Lucille (Talbert) Higgs, 89, formerly of Martins Ferry, OH, died Thursday, January 26, 2017 at her daughter's home in Philadelphia, PA. She was born April 29, 1927 in Prague, OK a daughter of the late Robert C. and Tommie (Clinkinbeard) Talbert.
Lucille was a member of the First Baptist Church of Martins Ferry.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl A. Higgs, her daughter, Regina Sayre, three brothers and three sisters.
Surviving are her children; Carol Higgs of Philadelphia, Rob (Becky) Higgs of Burke Center, VA and Gary (Barbie) Higgs of Dillonvale, OH, her son-in-law, Tim Sayre of Lusby, MD, grandchildren; Jennifer (Denis) Laroche, John (Amanda) Higgs and Daniel (Kara) Higgs and six great grandchildren.
Family and friends will be received Monday 4 - 8 p.m. at Heslop Funeral Home, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry, OH, where the funeral service will be held Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Larry W. Lewis officiating. Burial follows in Riverview Cemetery, Martins Ferry.
