Lucille Y. (Young) Mitchell, 89, of St. Clairsville, OH died Saturday, July 2, 2011 at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry, OH. She was born Jan. 29, 1922 in Rush Run, OH a daughter of the late Virgil and Arlie (Yocum) Young. She was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church, Martins Ferry. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband David W. Mitchell, a sister Jewel Benedetti, and a brother Austin Young. Surviving are three daughters Arla Darlene ( Charles) Ice of Wheeling, WV, Lynn Kinz and Cheryl Demetrakis both of Tampa, FL, four grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and thirteen great great grandchildren. Friends will be received Monday 12 to 3 pm at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH where services will be held Tuesday, July 5, 2011 at 11:00 am with Rev. William O. Webster officiating. Entombment will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, OH. Elders of the church will hold bereavement services Monday at 1:00 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Grace Presbyterian Church, 7 N. 4th St. Martins Ferry, OH, or Dustin O.
