Mabel L. Pastva, 85, of Litchfield Park, Arizona and longtime resident of Barnesville, Ohio, passed away on Monday, January 4, 2016. She was born July 27, 1930 in Bethesda, Ohio, daughter of the late Charles F. Marmie and Nellie Gay Chambers Marmie.
She was a former student of Barnesville schools, retired from Barnesville Hospital, and enjoyed playing Bingo as often as possible. Mabel truly enjoyed baking pies for the Barnesville Pumpkin Festival, making them with love.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Eleanor, Jessie, Ida Louise; brothers, Carl, Charles, Elmer, Robert; half-brothers, Marian Thompson and Carris Marmie.
Mabel is survived by her daughters, Brenda Pastva Lasley of Shepherdsville, Kentucky, Leah Pastva of Litchfield Park, Arizona; son, John Pastva of Woodsfield, Ohio; grandchildren, Chandra Lasley Coots, Kasey Lasley, Michael Bosman, Joshua Bosman, Michael Pastva, Amanda Pastva Morrison, Lucretia Pastva; great-grandchildren, Katelyn, Kaleb, Mikayla, Payton, Morgan, Noah, Logan, Abigail, Devin, Cheyenne; two great-great-granddaughters; sister, Evelyn Auble of Wellington, Ohio; and brother, David Marmie of Michigan.
Family and friends are welcome to visit, Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. and Tuesday from 11 a.m., until the time of service, beginning at 1 p.m., Kelly Kemp Braido Patron Funeral Homes & Crematory, 702 E. Main Street, Barnesville, Ohio. Pastor Ed Eberhart officiating. Interment will follow at Crestview Cemetery, Barnesville, Ohio.
