Madelyn McDonough Madelyn Johnston McDonough, 79, of Ste. Hwy. US 250, Pleasant Grove, OH died Sun., Aug. 25, 2002 at Ohio Valley Medical Center, Wheeling, WV. She was born Sept. 21, 1922 in Wheeling a daughter of the late William and Thelma Young Johnston. She was a member of the Pleasant Grove U. Methodist Church of Pleasant Grove and the AARP of Colerain. Madelyn was a 1941 graduate of Wheeling High School, a devoted wife and mother, and a pet lover who enjoyed her dogs and cats. Surviving are her husband of 61 years Ralph A. McDonough whom she married July 9, 1941; a son William B. McDonough of Huntington Beach, CA, an electronics engineer and CEO of his own company Microsystems, Inc.; and a granddaughter Holly Ann McDonough. Friends will be received Tues. 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH where services will be held Wed., Aug. 28, 2002, at 11:00 AM with Rev. Tami Shoup officiating. Entombment follows in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove.
