Malcolm V. Smith, III, 55 of Bridgeport passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Wednesday, July 15th at Wheeling Hospital. He was born on December 29, 1970, in Wheeling WV, the son of the late, Malcolm V. and Carolyn (Huffman) Smith, Jr.

He was an employee of the Stoney Hollow Tire Company, and a Christian by faith. Malcolm had many interest and hobbies such as Guns and Marksmanship in shooting, Mountain and Dirt bike riding, Marshall Arts and most recently AX Throwing. The one thing that gave him peace, faith and tranquility came from reading his bible.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Jennifer Hunley.

Left to cherish his memory are his mother who raised him, Mary Williams, sister, Tina (Matt) Bain, Melissa Craig, Michelle (Rusty) Bell, Crystal (Justin) Smith, Amanda Smith as well as 17 nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, July 27th, 2026, at 10 am at the Short Creek Cemetery, 361 N. Fork Rd, Short Creek, WV, 26058. Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd., Bridgeport, OH 43912 is assisting the family.
