Margaret Catherine Buckmelter, 86, of Mingo Junction, Ohio, died Thursday December 20, 2007 at Valley Hospice Care Center North, Trinity East, Steubenville. Margaret was born on July 16, 1921 in Bloomingdale, OH to the late Barbara and Steven Horwatt Sr. She is survived by four sons, Vincent Buckmelter and his wife Eve of Plano, TX, Jerome Buckmelter and his wife Ludmilla of Woodland Hills, CA, Gregory Buckmelter and his wife Linda of Centennial, CO, and Gerard Buckmelter and his wife Barbara of San Diego, CA; a daughter, Paula Robson of Mingo Junction; two brothers, Andrew Horwatt and his wife Shirley of Westlake, OH and Edward Horwatt and his wife Rose of Hilo HI; seventeen grand children and fourteen great grand children. In addition to her parents Margaret was preceded in death by her husband Vincent dePaul Buckmelter; daughter Judy Rubenstein; grandson Aaron Buckmelter; six brothers, Joseph, Steve, John, Frank, Mike, and Charles Horwatt; two sisters, Mary and Julia. Margaret was a member of St Agnes Catholic Church and served as a school crossing guard for the Village of Mingo Junction. Visitation will be Sunday at the Blaschalk-Wilson Funeral Home, 115 Union Ave. Mingo Junction, OH from 6-8 p.m. where a vigil service will be held at 7:45 p.m. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church with Father James Dunfee as celebrant. Private interment will take place at Mt Calvary Cemetery, Steubenville. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St Agnes Catholic Church, 204 St. Clair Ave. Mingo Junction, OH 43938
