Margaret T. (Czapp) Sonk, 86, of Lansing, OH, formerly of Martins Ferry, OH passed away Mon., May 8, 2006 at the home of her daughter surrounded by her family. She was born Mar. 1, 1920 in Hutchinson, WV a daughter of the late George S. and Elizabeth Czapp. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church of Wolfhurst, OH. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Joseph C. Sonk, a son Joseph Sonk, two brothers George J. and Steve W. Czapp, and three sisters Elizabeth Sileargy, Julia Kelly, and Ann McDermott. Surviving are two sons Ron J. (Pat) Sonk of St. Clairsville, OH and Denny C. (Sheryl) Sonk of Flushing, OH, two daughters Carol (Robert) Nedved of Westerville, OH and Margie (Mike) O'Connor of Shadyside, a sister Irene Dailer of Martins Ferry, nine grandchildren, Susan (Joe) Hupp, Bob Nedved, Matt Sonk, Jodi (Brad) King, Michael Sonk, Tim O'Connor, Dan (Kristy) O'Connor and Katie and Ryan Sonk, four great grandchildren Danny and Jennifer Hupp, Grace King, and Andrew O'Connor. Friends will be received Wed. from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Thurs., May 11, 2006 at 10:00 AM at St. Marys Catholic Church, Martins Ferry with Rev. George W. Yontz officiating. Entombment follows in St. Marys Mausoleum, Martins Ferry. Vigil services will be held Wed. at 3:45 PM in the funeral home.
