Obituary

Margaret E. Mercer 96, of Harrisville, died Tuesday May 28, 2013 at Autumn Health Care Center Adena surrounded by her loving family. She was born November 22, 1916 in Georgetown, Ohio, a daughter of the late John "Henderson" Moore and Mary (Sargent) Moore. She was a member of the Harrisville United Methodist Church for 80 years, a retired cook for the former Consol restaurant in Georgetown, she loved baking and people. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband James Chalmers Mercer, two sons Conny, and Winston Chalmers Mercer, a grandson Kevin Schrickel, five sisters Mary Emma Stewart, Lucille Gillmore, Thelma Love, Pauline Swann, and infant sister Maxine Moore, a brother John Moore. Margaret is survived by a daughter Peggy (Tom) Baker of Yorkville, a son James (Lucy) Mercer of Tarpon Springs Fl., a sister Bernice Starcher of New Athens, and the light of her life her 8 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren. Friends are invited to a celebration of Margaret's life on Friday May 31, 2013 from 3-8 pm at Wilson Funeral Home 154 Second St. Dillonvale. And on Saturday from 11 am till time of service at 1 pm at the Harrisville United Methodist Church St. Rt. 250 Harrisville, with Rev. Dean McPeek officiating, interment in Olive Branch Cemetery Harrisville.
