Margaret E. (Gazda) Roth, 96, formerly of N. Zane Hwy., Martins Ferry, OH died Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2008 at East Ohio Regional Hospital Long Term Care, Martins Ferry. She was born Oct. 6, 1912 in Blaine, OH a daughter of the late Frank S. and Mary (Panzo) Gazda. She was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church, Catholic Daughters of America, and the Hungarian Cultural Society all of Martins Ferry. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Fritz J. Roth, her daughter Mary Ann Kloss, and her brother Frank Gazda, Jr. Surviving are three sons Fred Roth of Columbus, and James (Priscilla) Roth and Melvin (Raella) Roth both of Martins Ferry, ten grandchildren, and thirteen great grandchildren. Friends will be Thursday 2-4 & 6-9 pm at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Friday, Oct. 31, 2008 at 10:00 am in St. Mary's Catholic Church with Rev. Thomas A. Magary officiating. Burial follows in Riverview Cemetery, Martins Ferry. Rosary devotions will be held Thursday at 3:00 pm followed by Wake services at 7:30 pm both in the funeral home.
