Margaret E. Platt, 86, of Bridgeport, OH, passed away March 11, 2020 at Wheeling Hospital.

She was born December 27, 1933, in Martins Ferry, OH, a daughter of the late Harry and Ester (Randall) Irvin.

Margaret was a retired nurses aid at Wheeling Hospital, was on the Friendship Council of Churches in Bridgeport, and was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Harry Irvin Jr., Asbury Irvin, Kenneth Irvin; sisters, Norma Jordan, and Evelyn Johnson; and granddaughter Carmelita Platt.

She is survived by her children, Ron M. Platt of Bridgeport, Tyrone F. (Marjorie) Platt of W. Palm Beach, Fl, Mark (Bonnie) Platt of Ashtabula, OH, Brian (Kathy) Platt of Martins Ferry, OH, Cynthia Jackson of Bridgeport; sisters, Barbara Galloway of Columbus, GA,  Rose Wallace of Bridgeport; twenty-two grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received Tuesday, March 17th  2020 at Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd. Bridgeport, OH 43912 from 11a.m. until time of service at 2p.m. with Pastor Rudy McAllister officiating.  Interment to follow at Linwood Cemetery, Blaine.
