Margaret "Margie" Leatha McFarland, 71, of Martins Ferry, passed away Sunday, August 1, 2021, at East Ohio Regional Hospital.  She was born on April 3, 1950, in Martins Ferry a daughter of the late Charles T. and Margaret (Kadar) Moore.  Margie worked as an investigator for the Wheeling Island Gaming Center and was a member of the Martins Ferry PNA 2220 and the Martins Ferry American Legion Post 38 Ladies Auxiliary.

She is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Roger L. McFarland; a sister, Patricia (Chuck) Bennett a niece and nephew who she considered her children, Abbey Bennett and Chuck (Ashley) Bennett and her beloved dog Harley Jo.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.  Arrangements are entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home, Heslop Chapel, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Road Home Animal Project, P.O. Box 522, St. Clairsville, OH  43950 in her memory.
