Margaret Mattern, 84, of St. Clairsville, Ohio passed away Monday, May 23, 2016 at Park Health in St. Clairsville. She was born June 25, 1931 in Benwood, WV, a daughter of the late William and Mary (Rakovicky) Kleindler. Margaret was retired from the former Selby & Reed Drug Store. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Martins Ferry. In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her daughter, Rebecca Sue Mattern (2007) and 2 brothers. She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Edwin C. Mattern, Jr.; her sons, Edwin William Mattern of Adena, OH and John Robert (Bonnie) Mattern of St. Clairsville, OH; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers and two sisters. Friends will be received Friday May 27, from 11 to 2p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Road, Brookside, OH, where services will be held at 2p.m. with Father Edward Mayfield officiating.
