Margaret J. "Marge" (Neavin) Hicks, 98, of Mt. Pleasant, OH, died Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at Cumberland Point Care Center, St. Clairsville, OH. She was born August 10, 1920 in Tiltonsville, OH a daughter of the late Frank H. Neavin, Sr., and Maude (Howell) Neavin.

Marge was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Church, Order of Eastern Star Labelle Chapter #414 and was an Honorary Member of the Mt. Pleasant VFD Auxilary.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Ray Hicks, brothers, Frank, Jr, Walter, Robert, and John Neavin, a sister, Evelyn Holovacs and a grandson, Stephen F. Hicks, Jr.

Surviving are her children; Stephen (Patty) Hicks and William (Carol) Hicks both of Mt. Pleasant, Bruce Hicks of Gillette, WY and Dennis (Anne Hyre) Hicks of Charleston, WV, sister, Joanne Chipman of Dayton, OH, seven grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.

Family and friends will be received at the Heslop Funeral Home, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry, OH, Friday, from 4 to 8 p.m. where services will be held Saturday, April 13, 2019 at 10:00 a.m.. with Rev. Joe Ellis officiating. Burial follows at Holly Memorial Cemetery, Pleasant Grove, OH.
