Margaret Ann Smith, 85 of Rayland passed away Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at Liza's Places.  She was born April 9, 1939 in Martins Ferry the daughter of the late Ann Patterson.

Margaret was Catholic by faith and retired from the Bellaire Clinic as a switch board operator.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Marjorie Klan, and grandson, Frankie Klan.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 67 years, Joseph Smith, children, Joseph (Kim) Smith of Dover, OH, Lori Donaldson of MD, grandchildren, Patty (David) Wheeler, Christopher (Charlie) Donaldson, Alex Donaldson, Sheldon Scott, Joey Smith, great-grandchild, Bentley Klan, sister in laws, brother in laws and several nieces and nephews.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home – Heslop Chapel, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry, OH 43935, where friends and family will be received for visitation on Thursday, September 12, 2024, from 4-7pm, with funeral service at 6pm officiated by Rev. Jim Hoff.
