Margaret Frances Shedwell, 98, of Powell Ohio formerly of Bridgeport passed away Tuesday, May 12, 2026. She was born on March 12, 1928, in Bridgeport, the daughter of the late Aldrich and Agnes (Mazliek) Serb.
Margaret was a member of St. Anthony of Padua of Bridgeport, the Catholic Daughters, it is where she drew strength and solace throughout her life, the Bridgeport Food Pantry and retired from the former Stone & Thomas Department Store in Wheeling. She was a devoted wife of Thomas Shedwell, sharing a deep and abiding love that was the foundation of their family. As a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she poured her heart into her family, ensuring their home was always a place of warmth and unconditional love.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas J. Shedwell in 1996, sisters, Dorothy Regel, Virginia Battistone and son in law, Richard Brown.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Thomas “Mike” (Vicki) Shedwell, Bonnie Shedwell-Brown, grandchildren, Jennifer (David) Dillman, Krista (James) Corl, Sabrina (Jeff) Mandler, Cassandra (Mike) Jettner, great-grandchildren, Carter, Parker Dillman, Ainsley, Christian Corl, Alli, Winn Jettner, Mason, Bellamy and Emmery Mandler and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to a Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be at St. Anthony of Padua, 630 Main St., Bridgeport, Ohio 43912, with Fr. John Maucha officiating, burial to follow at Holly Memorial Garden Cemetery in Pleasant Grove. Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd., Bridgeport, Ohio 43912 is assisting the family. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Anthony of Padua, 630 Main St., Bridgeport, Ohio 43912
