Smith, Margaret Marie "Maggie" Martinez, 83, of Mingo Junction, Ohio, died, Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at home with her family. She was born October 12, 1928 in Mingo Junction, a daughter of the late Frank and Eloise (Fernandez) Martinez. Maggie was retired from Ohio Valley Hospital, Steubenville, after working there for 38 years; She was preceded in death by her husband William F. Smith Sr., two brothers Michael, and David Lee Martinez, one sister, Sister Jovita "Mary" Martinez, one sister in law Trudy Martinez, one son in law Tom Thompson, and one great grand daughter Maria Scurti. She was a caring and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Surviving are her two daughters, Sheila Thompson of Steubenville, Margaret L. Smith of Wheeling, Wva, and one son William F. Smith Jr. of Steubenville. One brother, Raymond Martinez of Steubenville, and one sister, Jobita "Punkin" Starliper of Mingo. Seven grand children, two step grand children, and three great grand children. Service will be held at St. Agnes Catholic Church 204 Saint Clair Ave. Mingo Junction, Ohio. On April 25, 2012 from 9am until time of service at 10am with Father James M. Dunfee, officiating.
