Margaret Smith, 100, of Barnesville, Ohio, died, Friday, February 27, 2015 at Walton Retirement Home. She was born January 8, 1915 in Barnesville, Ohio, daughter of the late Virgil VonScio and Carrie Bishop VonScio. She was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church and was blessed with the gift of 100 years. A truly special person, she had a green thumb, with a natural ability to make anything grow. She enjoyed writing and reading and had a passion of sharing her life experiences with others. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl G. Smith; sister, Ruth Ann Largen; and nephew, Stanley Price. Margaret is survived by her son, Raymond (Ruth) Smith of Barnesville, Ohio; grandchildren, Scott Smith, Timothy Smith; and Mitchell (Marcy) Smith; six great- grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and niece, Penny Price of Cleveland, Ohio. Family and friends will be welcome to visit, Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m., Kelly Kemp Braido & Patron Funeral Homes & Crematory, 702 E. Main Street, Barnesville, Ohio, where the service will be conducted, Thursday 11 a.m. Pastor Richard Cox officiating. Interment will follow at Crestview Cemetery, Barnesville, Ohio.
