Margie L. (Greer) Vanchure, 84, of Pleasant Grove, OH died Friday, July 12, 2013. She was born July 25, 1928 in Unionport, OH a daughter of the late Ralph and Stella (Burchfield) Greer. She retired after 25 years from the former McGraw Nursing Home, Pleasant Grove, OH. Margie was an avid crocheter and gardener. Loved canning and Nascar. She had a group of friends called the Fruit Loop Gang. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Thomas A. Vanchure, brothers; Donald and Larry Greer, sisters; Carol Davenport and Lois Jean Greer, and a brother-in-law Bob James. Surviving are two daughters; Vicki (Fernando) Cano of South Bend, IN, and Deborah Conway of Martins Ferry, OH, three sons; Richard (Vicki) Vanchure of Pleasant Grove, Scott (Michele) Vanchure of Columbus, OH and David (Rhonda) Vanchure of Colerain, OH, a sister Delores James of Uhrichsville, OH, a brother Ralph (Donna) Greer of Louisville, OH and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Friends will be received Monday 4-8 pm at the Heslop Funeral Home, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry, OH where services will be held Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at 1:00 pm with Pastor Don Marsh officiating. Burial follows in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, OH. Memorial contributions may be made to Valley Hospice, 132 Peterson Run Rd., Wheeling, WV 26003.
