Marie A. Fields 98, of Bridgeport, died Tuesday August 6, 2019 at Forest Hills Retirement Home. She was born March 4, 1921 in Wheeling, a daughter of the late Alfred and Cleo (Patton) Boyd.

She was retired from Joseph A. Strauss Wheeling, a member of the Wayman AME Church Wheeling, and the Deborah Temple #125 IBOEW.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband Lawrence E. Fields, two sons Edward and Lawrence Fields, a son-in-law Phillip Hunter, and a daughter-in-law Debra Fields.

Marie is survived by her daughter Jody Hunter of Steubenville, a sister Freda Benton of Detroit, MI, a daughter-in-law ZoAnn Fields of St. Clairsville, six grandchildren, and a host of great grandchildren.

Friends will be received at the Wilson Funeral Home 920 National Road Brookside on Monday August 12, 2019 from 10 am till time of service at 1 pm, with Rev. Georgia B. Morrow officiating, interment in Weeks Cemetery Bridgeport.
