Marie R. Thompson, 88, of Clemmons, North Carolina, formerly of Bridgeport, OH passed away November 6, 2016 at her home. She was born, July 2, 1928 in Martins Ferry, OH, a daughter of the late Dean and Elsie (Dahn) Timberlake. Marie was a Lutheran by faith. She was a very giving woman who received many awards for her help at the Tri-County Help Center in St. Clairsville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Thompson Sr. She is survived by her children; Karan (Lou) Tremoulis of Clemmons, NC, and Norman Thompson Jr., of Bridgeport, OH, grandchildren; Lynetta Tremoulis of Raleigh NC, Randy Tremoulis of Wendell NC, Michelle (Misty) McVay of Delaware, OH, and Hannah Thompson, of Knightdale, NC, and great-grandchildren, Dahn Tremoulis of Winston-Salem NC, and Parker and Cali McVay of Delaware, OH.
