Marilyn Naomi Volan, 80, of Martins Ferry, passed away Friday, January 17, 2020 in Wheeling Hospital.  She was born in Martins Ferry on November 27, 1939 a daughter of the late Charles and Anna (Huggins) Carleton.  Marilyn was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Martins Ferry and retired after many years of service, from the Medical Supply Co. of Wheeling where she was a bookkeeper.

She is survived by her sister, Virginia (Lawrence) Zurek of Bellaire; several nieces and nephews and her beloved dog, Junie.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Stanley Volan.

Private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Internment will be in Belmont Memorial Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Belmont County Animal Shelter, 45244 National Rd. W., St. Clairsville, OH  43950 in Marilyn's memory.
