Mark Alan Mellott, 51, of Cambridge, Ohio passed away at his home on September 29,2023.  He was born on March 16, 1972 to Betty Jo (Couture) Mellott and the late Herman Mellott.

Mark was an Intermediate EMT, served in the Airforce, and attended the Police Academy.  He was a fire-fighter who traveled with a team to put out forest fires, once spending over three weeks in Montana.  He also owned a taxi service.  Mark was a kind man that never met a stranger.  He was a genealogist, a history buff, and a farmer.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and tinkering with leather.  Mark was an avid collector of many things. He was a Big Foot believer who loved spending time with his family and friends.

Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife, Amy Mellott; mother, Betty Jo (Couture) Mellott; children, Ethan Mellott, Caleb Mellott, Erin Mellott, Ashley Mellott; step-children, Nathan, Alice, Asher, Reuben, and Janet Brown; brother, Mikel Mellott; best friend, Norman Pennekamp; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Friends and Family are invited for visitation on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 from 2pm to the time of service at 6pm at the Wilson Funeral Home, Harper Chapel, 52728 Ohio Avenue, Beallsville, Ohio 43716 with Pastor Kyle Cox officiating.
