Marlene E. Francis, 74, of Bethesda, Ohio died Thursday, October 4, 2012 at Emerald Pointe in Barnesville, Ohio. She was born January 4, 1938 in Albany, New York, daughter of the late Charles Claypool and Alma Crago Claypool. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Brian Lane Claypool. Marlene is survived by daughters, Kathy (Donovan) Shrieve of Bethesda, Ohio and Kim Krone (Dave Phillips) of Barnesville, Ohio; grandchildren, Joe (Jenny) Thornton, Stacey (Matt) Holliday, Christina (Ryan) Cook all of Barnesville, Ohio, D.J. Shrieve of Bethesda, Ohio; great-grandchildren, Lexie Skylar, Joey, Madison, Morgan, and Maci; brothers, Richard (Patty) Claypool of Kansas and Phil (Amy) Claypool of Virginia; sister, Joan (Jack) Butrum of Maryland; and several nieces and nephews. Services were private and held at the convenience of Marlene's family. Pastor Rodney West officiated. Interment took place at Ebenezer Cemetery, Bethesda, Ohio.
