MARTHA G. SECRIST, 99, of Martins Ferry, died Tuesday, May 19, 2009 at Sunset Health Care in Adena. She was born October 15, 1909 in Wheeling, the daughter of the late Andrew and Christine (Schneider) Kohl. Martha was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Martins Ferry and the Bridgeport Chapter of the Eastern Star. Martha is survived by several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Lawrence Secrist; three brothers Andrew, John and George Kohl; and three sisters Katie Johnson, Christina Nolte and Caroline Stone. Visitation will be Thursday 5-8 pm at Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd., Brookside, where funeral services will be held Friday at 11 am.
