Martha L. (Tucker) Walling, 88, of Martins Ferry, OH died Sunday, July 17, 2011 at East Ohio Regional Hospital Long Term Care, Martins Ferry. She was born September 30, 1922 in Martins Ferry a daughter of the late General John P. and Ruth Y. (Beck) Tucker.

Martha retired from the Martins Ferry School System and was a former member of the Martins Ferry V.F.W. Auxillary.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas J. Walling, three brothers, William, Arthur and Haskell Tucker and a sister Lois Jean Tokes.

Surviving are her daughter, Marjorie (Tom) Roberts of Martins Ferry, a brother Raymond (Zelda) Tucker of Warwood, WV, a sister Alma "Snook" Tucker of Martins Ferry, OH, two grandsons Thomas K (Tiffany). Roberts, Jr., and Todd K. (Sharon)Roberts both of Martins Ferry, OH, great grandchildren Thomas Joseph Roberts, Elizabeth Ann Roberts, and Alexandria Danielle Roberts, and William and Kyle Anderson.

Friends will be received Tuesday 6-8 pm at the Heslop Funeral Home, 415 Walnut Street, Martins Ferry, OH where services will be held Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at 10:00 am with Rev. Thomas N. Thomas officiating. Burial follows in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, OH.
