Martha Mae (Woods) Elceser, 90, of Davenport, IA, formerly of Sunset Heights, Bridgeport, Oh, died Friday March 6, 2009 at the home of her daughter-in-law. She was born June 27, 1918 in Bridgeport, a daughter of the late James E. and Luella (Darrah) Woods. Martha's favorite past time was her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She dearly loved every minute she spent with every one of them. She was a member of the Lancaster Methodist Church, Bridgeport. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Bernard Elceser, two sons John R. and David B. Elceser, two brothers John and Bud Woods, and two sisters Marie Harding and Edith Theaker. Surviving are her daughter-in-law Kathy Elceser of Davenport, seven grandchildren, Dr. Leigh Ann (Christopher) Kochan, of Clarkston, MI, Leslie (Mark) McIntire of Davenport, Lori David of Walnut Creek, CA, Amanda (Jason) McNeff of Davenport, Michael (Donna) Elceser of Pittsburg, CA, Joe (Tracy) Elceser of Bettendorf, IA, Jimmy (Mary) Nussbaum of Davenport, two brothers Herbert Woods and Lester (Dorothy) Woods both of Alliance, OH, twelve great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. Friends will be received Saturday, March 14, 2009 from 10am until time of service at 12 pm at Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Road, Brookside with Rev. Michael Elceser officiating. Burial follow in Belmont Memorial Park, St. Clairsville, OH. Memorial contributions may be made to the family or to Genesis Hospice.
