Marvin Dale McCort passed away peacefully at his home in Barnesville on November 9, 2023.  He was born on May 7, 1943, a son to the late Raymond and Majorie (Lucas) McCort.

Marvin was a coal miner for over 43 years. He was a wonderful mechanic and an Army veteran (81st Airborne).  He enjoyed growing flowers, watching Westerns, and reading Louis Lamar cowboy books.  He loved spending time with his family and his favorite pal, Max.

Surviving are his beloved wife, Marsha McCort; daughter Kimberly Bell; grandson, Julius Carter; great grandson, Chase Carter; sister, Phyllis Walton; and niece, Shelly Jeffers.

Per Marvin's request, all services are private.  Wilson Funeral Home, Barnesville Chapel, 702 East Main Street, Barnesville, Ohio 43713 is assisting the family.
