Mary Ann (Benich) Sadosky Knapp, 77, of Valley Dr., Martins Ferry, OH died Tues July 3, 2007 at Bishop Joseph Hodges Continuous Care Center, Wheeling, WV. She was born May 2, 1930 in Windsor Heights, WV a daughter of Mathew P. and Rose (Paver) Benich. She was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church, Martins Ferry and a graduate of Warwood High School, Warwood, WV. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband Robert W. Sadosky, Sr. and a sister Betty Tolonese. Surviving are her second husband Alvin W. Knapp, a son Robert W. (Linda) Sadosky, Jr. of Martins Ferry, two step-sons Kurt Knapp of Wheeling, and Larry (Mary Beth) Brost of Martins Ferry, three step-daughters Vicki (Bruce) Kirchner of Wheeling, Judy (Bill) Beabout of Valley Grove, WV, and Cindy Surlock of TX, three grandchildren Philip Sadosky of Freeport, PA, Scott Sadosky and Brian Sadosky both of Martins Ferry, five step-grandchildren, and thirteen great grandchildren. Friends will be received Thurs., 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Fri., July 6, 2007 at 10:00 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Martins Ferry with Rev. Thomas A. Magary officiating. Burial follows in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling, WV. Wake services will be recited Thurs at 3:00 PM in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the SMC 2000 Fund, 20 N. 4th St., Martins Ferry, OH 43935.
