Obituary

Mary E. Bugaj 51 of Barton passed away Wednesday December 27, 2023, at Liza's Place Wheeling surrounded by her loving family.  She was born December 25, 1972, in Martins Ferry, a daughter of Michael P. Burnik Jr. of San Angelo, TX and the late Bonnie L. (Foster) Burnik.

She was an employee of H.H.R.D. Belco Workshop, and Alternative Rest Care, and the Fairpoint Polish Club, and a bartender at the Barton Trap, she loved the Dallas Cowboys, Ohio State.

In addition to her mother Mary is preceded in death by her brother Joey Keringer and Cindy Kurtley.

Mary is survived by her husband Edward "Eddie" Bassa Jr, her daughter Josie (Travis) Bugaj of St. Clairsville, and her sibling Bobbie Jo (Lonnie) Griffith of San Angelo TX, a stepdaughter Kisten Allen, of NC, six grandchildren, and Jimmy Bugaj and all the Bugaj family.

Friends will be received at the Wilson Funeral Home 920 National Road Brookside on Tuesday January 2, 2024, from 2-9, and then on Wednesday from 9 till time of service at 11 am with Rev. James Hoff officiating, private interment will be held at the convenience of the family. Please dress casually to come to celebrate Mary's life.  Following the service, a Celebration of Life will be held at the Fairpoint Polish Club all are invited to attend.
