Mary Ann lived a full and blessed life before losing her 10 month battle with cancer. She was born with a genetic degenerative eye disorder, retinitis pigmentosa. She had limited vision up until the mid-1990's when she ultimately lost most of her vision. Having a vision impairment did not stop Mary Ann from living an active life, enjoying bowling, dancing, reading audio books, playing cards, and watching her favorite TV shows. She enjoyed sunshine and followed the sunrise/sunset times every day. She traveled to Las Vegas many times with family and friends and enjoyed every trip when she was able to see all the bright lights of her favorite city. A late family dog was named Nugget after her favorite shiny Golden Nugget in Vegas. She was most proud of her four children and many grandchildren who were the light of her life and eyes to her world. Her guide dog Jack provided her with confidence and independence for many years before his passing in 2017.
