Mary Anne Dematte, 71, passed away Tuesday January 4th, 2022 in Wheeling Hospital.  She was born December 25th, 1950 in Martins Ferry, a daughter of the late Olga (Wakulchik) Toth and Alex Toth.

Mary Anne is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Dr. Charles Dematte, two daughters, Leah Hobbs (Matthew) of Grove City, Ohio and Jillian Dematte of Steubenville, Ohio; two sisters Darlene (Pete) Vrotsos of Melbourne Beach, FL; Susan (Donald) Dunfee of Ringold, GA; sister-in-law Bettie Jae (Rick) Banal, Massillon, OH; four grandchildren, Jackson Hobbs, Tobias Hobbs, Eliana Hobbs and Issac Dematte; nieces and nephews George Alex Vrotsos, Alexis (Vrotsos) Ackerman, Michael Dunfee, Missy (Dunfee) Johnson, Rick Banal, Barry Banal and their families.

Mary Anne received her BA in elementary education from Ohio University, she was a proud past president of the Bridgeport Women's Club, a homemaker and assisted her husband often at the dental office.

Mary Anne was a woman of strong Christian faith and lead her family to our Lord Jesus. She will be missed by her many beloved Christian friends.
