Mary Elizabeth Parr Erwin previously of Mt .Pleasant, Ohio passed away November 6, 2016 in Morgantown, WV. She was born January 27, 1920 in Mingo Junction, Ohio the daughter of Montford and Ethel Parr. She was a long time member of Mt. Pleasant First Presbyterian Church and was very involved in several of the church organizations while living in the area. She was an avid volunteer with the Wheeling Hospital Auxiliary for many years and served as state president of the Auxiliary to the West Virginia Hospital Association from 1990-1992. She also served on the Oglebay Mansion Museum Committee where she took great pride in being part of the preservation of the mansion. She was a member and past president of Chapter J of the Philanthropic Educational Organizational Sisterhood. She was a wonderful mother, hostess, and friend approaching everything with a sense of style. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Hugh Pickens Erwin and son Robert Montford Erwin. She is survived by her children Hugh William Erwin of Springboro, Ohio; Catherine Erwin Connor and son-in-law Robert Connor of Morgantown, W.V.; James Elden Erwin and daughter-in-law Linda Erwin of Summerville, S.C; nine grand children and 15 great grand children. Friends may call at Wilson Funeral Home, 154 Second Street, Dillonvale, OH, on Friday, from 6-9 p.m. and at Mt. Pleasant First Presbyterian Church on Saturday November 12, where the body will lie in state from 11 a.m. until time of Funeral Services at 12:00.
