Mary
Ferron
March 28, 1921 – December 20, 2021
Mary Ferron, our beloved mother, and grandmother (Mimi), but most of all our best friend, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her own home on Monday, December 20, 2021. Mary always said she wanted to live to be 100 years old and she did!
Mary Ferron was born in Connersville, Ohio on March 28, 1921. She worked at Wheeling Steel during World War II until the men came home. She was a fantastic cook/baker who always enjoyed sharing her recipes with friends and family. Mary enjoyed attending all her grandchildren's sporting events and concerts. She babysat many kids in the area and loved working in the yard planting flowers.
Mary was a devoted member of St. Adalbert Parish and the Rosary Society and the Dillonvale Rosebud Garden Club.
In addition to her Italian parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Joseph, her brother Bob, and his wife Doris.
She is survived by her children; Joseph (Toni) Ferron, Franklin Park, IL, Betty Ferron of Dillonvale, and Rose (Joseph) Zelek of Dillonvale, grandchildren; Joseph, Jr. and Jared Zelek, Lee, Chris, and Joseph Ferron and 11 great-grandchildren complete the family.
The family would like to thank: Randi Conaway whose help enabled us to care for Mary in the comfort of her own home. Ronnie & Norman Sempirek for all their kindness, compassion and "tasty food." Jeff Poludniak for always being there, "Just call me, Mary" he would say which meant the world to her. Geri Slivinski and the Dillonvale EMS/Fire Dept. for everything including that wonderful drive-by parade on her 100th birthday.
