MARY LOU GATCHELL, 80, of Brookside, died Wednesday, April 29, 2009 at Forest Hill Retirement Community in St. Clairsville. She was born November 14, 1928 in wheeling, the daughter of the late Charles and Jessie (Stilwell) Howell. She was a member of the Bridgeport United Methodist Church and the Eastern Star. She was a retired secretary with the Bridgeport Exempted School District. Mary Lou is survived by her husband William Gatchell; a daughter Lori Custer and her husband James of St. Clairsville; a brother J.L. Howell and his wife Suzanne of Baton Rouge, LA; and two grandchildren Matt and Kayla Custer both of St. Clairsville. Visitation will be Friday 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd., Brookside, where funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 pm with Reverend Lisa Boulton officiating. Interment will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove. Memorial contributions may be made to Bridgeport First United Methodist Church, 300 DeKalb St., Bridgeport, Ohio 43912.
