Mary E. Clements Mary E. McGlothlin Kies Clements, 83, of Colerain Pike, Martins Ferry, OH died Sat., June 15, 2002 at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, WV. She was born Apr. 19, 1919 in Pomeroy, OH a daughter of the late Thomas and Minnie Bush McGlothlin. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and past member of the Eagles #456 Ladies Auxiliary both of Martins Ferry. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband Thomas A. Kies, her second husband Lester Clements, five brothers Odie, Jim, Alvie, Jack, and John McGlothlin, and a sister Margie Deweiss. Mary is survived by five sons Thomas C. Kies and his wife Sue Murray of Grand Rapids, MI, Edward Kies and his wife Judy of Topeka, KS, Robert A. Kies and his wife Sue of Delavan, IL, Roger L. Kies and his wife Jenny of McDonald, PA, and Michael D. Kies and his wife Belinda of Shadyside, two daughters Mary Harris and her husband Scott of Martins Ferry and Beverly Pawlaczyk and her husband Charles of Cincinnati, three brothers Thomas McGlothlin and his wife Mickey and Alonzo McGlothlin all of Goofey Ridge, IL and Robert McGlothlin and his wife Marilyn of St. Clairsville, five sisters Ida Mae Bailey of Steubenville, Josephine McGlothlin of Hot Springs, AR, Esther Elbert and her husband Jim of Bellaire, and Nancy and Shirley McGlothlin both of Missouri, twenty three grandchildren and twenty four great grandchildren. Friends will be received Tues. 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH where services will be held Wed., June 19, 2002 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Joseph Sanders officiating. Burial follows in Greenwood Cemetery, Wheeling.
