Mary Ellen Loper, 96, of Dillonvale, Ohio, passed Monday December 30, 2013 at Rosewood Manor, Yorkville, Ohio. She was born in Dillonvale on March 7, 1917, a daughter of the late John and Ora McQue King. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Patrick Loper; son Arthur Wayne Stone, Son-in-law Charles Welshans, brothers: George and Willard King; a sister Reba Carothers, grandsons Kevin Stone and John Ross; granddaughters Sandy Welshans and Cindy Ross. Mary is survived by three daughters: Janet Welshans of Dillonvale, Lois Jo (Frank) Litva of Connerville, Ohio and Phyllis (James) Ross of Smithfield; fifteen grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and twenty three great great grandchildren. Friends will be received Thursday January 2, 2014 at Wilson Funeral Home, 154 Second Street, Dillonvale, Ohio from 10 until the time of service at 1:00 p.m., with Rev. Marvin Schooler, officiating.
