Mary J. Bernardo Mary J. Marchio Bernardo, 85 formerly of N. 5th Street, Martins Ferry, OH died Mon., Aug. 19, 2002 at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry. She was born Oct. 8, 1916 in Washington, PA a daughter of the late Frank and Raffaella Pascuzzi Marchio. She was a teacher's aide for the former St. Myer's Terrace Day Care Center and a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church both of Martins Ferry. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Frank C. Bernardo, two brothers Joseph and Ralph Marchio, and a sister Helen Gocsik. Surviving are a son Nick Bernardo and his wife Rhonda and a daughter Donna Fuscardo and her husband Ralph "Blackie", Sr. all of Martins Ferry, a sister Rose Marie Orlowski of Pittsburgh, PA, four grandchildren Ralph Fuscardo, Jr, Roslyn Fuscardo Ging, and Dawn Fuscardo Outward all of Colerain, and Gina Bernardo of Martins Ferry, and seven great grandchildren. Friends will be received Tue. 7-9 PM and Wed. 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Thur., Aug. 22, 2002 at 10:00 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Martins Ferry with Rev. Thomas Magary officiating. Burial follows in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove. Wake services will be recited Wed, at 7:30 PM in the funeral home.
