Mary Louise (Monahan) Rassau, 92, of St. Clairsville, OH and formerly of S. Zane Hwy., Martins Ferry died Monday, June 29, 2009 at Ohio Valley Medical Center, Wheeling, WV. She was born June 23, 1917 in Martins Ferry a daughter of the late Andrew J. and Anna V. (Hubbard) Monahan. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Martins Ferry. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William J. Rassau in 1994, and two sisters Virginia M. Thomas and Dorothy M. Schmitt. Surviving are a nephew Jack (Mary) Thomas of Rayland, OH, a niece Joyce Burkhead of Tiltonsville, OH and great nieces and nephews: Roxanne, John, Sue, Jason, Jake, Collen, Tracy, Charles, Matt, Kylie, Cindy, Pat, and Andy. Friends will be received Wednesday, 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH where services will be held Thursday, July 2, 2009 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Van D. Fisher officiating. Burial follows in Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville, OH. Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 307 Clay St., Martins Ferry, OH 43935.
