Mary Ellen Hughes, 74, of Bridgeport, passed away Sunday, April 3, 2022, in Liza's Place. She was born on August 22, 1947, in Martins Ferry a daughter of the late James and Mary (Derry) Morgan. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and enjoyed painting, sewing and many other forms of crafts.

Mary is survived by a stepson, Joseph (Beth) Hughes; a step daughter-in-law, Tracie Hughes; a niece, Lori (Gary) Cox; a nephew, Chris (Andrea) Morgan and 5 step grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Michael Hughes; a brother, Brian Morgan; and a stepson, Adam Hughes.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Saturday, April 23, 2022, at 10 am in St. Joseph Catholic Church, 68210 Neola Ave, Bridgeport with Father John Mucha officiating. Arrangement entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home, Brookside.
