Mary L. (Moses) Bales, 88, formerly of Bridgeport, OH, was called home by Jesus on Sunday, May 9, 2010. She passed away peacefully at the home of her granddaughter Melissa with whom she resided in Utica, OH. Mary was born Aug. 21, 1921 in Martins Ferry, OH a daughter of the late Samuel and Elizabeth (Abraham) Moses.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Walker Bales, a daughter Bonnie Clovis, three brothers John , Albert, and Lewis Moses, and two sisters Lena Namey and Sally Bennington.

Surviving are her three children John (Marcy) Bales of The Villages, FL, Charles (Donna) Bales of Hilliard, OH, and Shirley (Ron) Ault of Richmond, OH, a sister Julia (Lou) Hunter of Phoenix, AZ, and her beloved seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

Friends will be received Friday, 6-9 pm at the Heslop Funeral Home, Walnut at Fifth, Martins Ferry, OH where services will be held Saturday, May 15, 2010 at 10:00 am with Minister Rod Kasler officiating. Burial follows in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, OH.
