MARY ANNE SHIPPY, 68, of St. Clairsville, died Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at Ohio Valley Medical Center in Wheeling, surrounded by her family. She was born June 23, 1941 in Martins Ferry, the daughter of the late Charles and Elizabeth (Kimes) Mortz. Mary Anne was Catholic by faith and had retired from the Union Local School District as a bus driver after 21 years. Mary Anne is survived by her husband of 48 years, James Shippy, Sr.; a daughter, Tracie Campbell and her husband Eric of Bristolville, OH; three sons, James Shippy II of Piedmont, OH, Timothy Shippy of St. Clairsville, OH and Dennis Shippy and his wife Carrie of St. Clairsville, OH; two sisters Barbara Kalinowski and her husband Ray of East Liverpool, OH and Patricia Sonk and her husband Ron of St. Clairsville, OH; twelve grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Friends are invited to attend visitation on Sunday from 2 pm until the time of Mary Anne's Memorial Service at 4 pm at Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Rd., Brookside.
